Thanks to Deep Stack tournaments, BetSharks give the best poker players the chance to play their A-game with the time to develop a good strategy. As the stacks get deeper, No-limit Holdem become exponentially more complex, as there is greater scope for different styles of play. This applies to both pre-flop play and post-flop play.
A Deep Stack tournament in which players begin with an amount of chips that is relatively high in relation to the blind or ante. Because the blind or ante is relatively small compared with total chips, the usual impact that these forced bets have of speeding up the game is reduced. The resulting increased number of hands dealt causes longer tournaments and reduces fluctuation based on the variance of cards dealt.
Even though there is less luck in the deep stack tournaments and so good players should have more of an advantage, the longer playing time may end up meaning better players end up spending more time for the amount of money won.
In addition to a deeper-than-normal starting stack, most Deep Stacks events have 12-minute intervals for each level. The normal interval between changes in levels on BetSharks is 8 minutes. Lengthening the levels in Deep Stacks events is another way of providing a lot of play, particularly in the early stages of the tournament.
You can find Deep Stacks events in the lobby; the words ‘Deep Stacks’ should be in the name.
